This is a spot for the 2009 NAE4-HE Special Events committee to work on our piece.

 

Goals: 
The Special Events committee is responsible for coordinating special events and evening programs with the help of other committees as appropriate.
 
“Special events” planning will include:
Evening Programs:
  • Sunday Opening Event: Northeast Trek...thru the Seasons featuring NE states food, flavor & fun + craft fair/vendors + Nik and the Nice Guys
  • Monday: State’s Night Out details (Note: a list of restaurants has been created and posted to the 2009 Conference website. This has been promoted to State Assn. presidents. The Greater Rochester Visitor's Bureau (contact Kelli O'Connor) is willing to offer phone consultations/recommendations to States.  

          Entertainment following State's Night Out: "Jazznik" Jazz Bar ( 8 - 11 pm) or Nik DJ Dance (8 pm - 12 am).

  • Tuesday: Dinner Theatre with "The Water Coolers" production – Italian Dinner Buffet and Downstairs Cabaret Theatre Production of "The Water Coolers." 
  • Wednesday - The Sights, Sounds and Flavors of New York City Dinner and after dinner NYC Street Fair – Buffet dinner featuring diverse ethnic foods of NYC. After dinner attendees will roam the streets of New York City as part of the NYC Street Fair (includes vendors, street dancers, caricatures, and more) and a variety of dessert stations.
